If There Was a Law Against Lying Most Republicans Would be in Jail

Another Bogus Fox Nation Headline – “Obamacare Mandates Private Breastfeeding Centers”

Right-wing delusion: Net neutrality is government plot to control Internet content

Right-wing media have falsely claimed that the net neutrality principle supported by the Obama administration is an attempt by the government to control Internet content. In fact, net neutrality does not mean government control of content on the Internet; rather, net neutrality ensures equal and open access for consumers and producers of content and applications, and is supported by a wide array of groups including the American Civil Liberties Union and the Christian Coalition of America.
One of the reasons the tea bagger/right-wingers are so ignorant about the issues is their tendency to listen to the little voices inside their pointed heads instead of the facts. Many have said all that we need to do is have a civil debate and the facts will win. You cannot have a civil debate with a loon, "We didn't come here to listen to you!" by Laura Clawson

Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH-01) held a town hall meeting on health care last Wednesday night. Why? To listen to concerns and answer questions.

"I think what you see is people who are concerned. They have legitimate worries, a lot of them have misinformation, a lot of them had the right information and they didn't like it, and I think it's fine for them to ask me those questions and for me to answer it," Shea-Porter said.

About that question and answer thing:

Shea-Porter took questions from a highly energized and deeply divided crowd at Bedford. The congresswoman attempted to explain her vote for the health care bill amid shouts of "You're lying!" and "We didn't come here to listen to you!"

"We didn't come here to listen to you..." at the event you held to explain your vote.

Shea-Porter's answers to constituent questions aren't the only thing the shouters had no interest in. At Blue Hampshire, Dean Barker reports that:

According to a reader, someone at the town hall actually railed against Shea-Porter because she voted for TARP. Which, of course, she didn't do.

They don't listen, they don't read about votes. How on earth could you ever break through the bubble of willful ignorance?
